I love the weather here in DFW. Finally we get to relax and not wear heavy coats and sweaters today. The sporting world is buzzing about the super bowl and the teams. It is interesting to see how many players from other teams in the NFL come to see the game whether at the stadium or at a private party. Should be a good game but I am pulling for Green Bay to win. I'd be good to see Aaron Rogers get a ring.
Not much news or talks that are going on today. With the Rangers situation, looks like Mike Young could be traded by tomorrow. Young seems to be the one that has asked the Rangers for a trade, because Jon Daniels and the rest of the Rangers organization said that they were not going to trade him. Young believes that he is still good and effective enough to start everyday somewhere in the field. As of now there are no new names that could be headed to Texas from Colorado except for a reliever named Esmil Rogers. Saw his few stats and highlights and he looks to be somewhat effective. If Colorado wants Young and agrees to take on $28 mil of his $48 mil due then sending Rogers and Fowler/Young Jr. would be enough for me to pull the trigger. The way that Jon Daniels works though is so quiet that you never know what is speculation and what is real. Hopefully it works out for both parties.
Lets have a great super bowl and comment on the little I wrote if you like. Go PACK!!!
Sad to see Mike Young leave if he does, but I think I would be inclined to be on a World Series contender and keep the chemistry going. It won't hurt the Rangers on the field but they would lose their clubhouse leader. Maybe Josh will step up and take the reigns. "you can drop the claw on 'em, or you can drop the antlers on 'em."
